Swirl Gimmel Ring

Swirl Gimmel Ring

Gimmel comes from the Latin word for twin, gemellus. Popular in the 16th and 17th centuries, gimmel rings were often used as betrothal rings. This modern riff is two identical interlocking rings that come together to form a bombé shape.
